To get started on the whole
Virus Myth experience try this simple exercise. Make sure you follow
the steps.
You are a Doctor and you have a patient in front of you who has been diagnosed as HIV antibody positive. The problem is, they don't believe in HIV and they think that even if HIV does exist, it doesn't cause AIDS. You sit them down in front of your pc so that you can show them the proof that HIV exists and that it is soley responsible for AIDS. Where else would you start your search other than the United States Centres for Disease Control and Prevention, the home of the Human Immunodeficiency Virus? The CDC have a list of links titled 'Health and safety topics" and one of the links is diseases and conditions. You click the link. This gives you a list of medical conditions. You click on the link for HIV/AIDS. This takes you to the CDC National Centre for HIV, STD and TB Prevention Divisions of HIV/AIDS Prevention. You see a list of links on the left hand side of the page - 'Main Topics'. You smile and show your patient the link - 'Basic Science'. You click on the link. This gives you a list of links under the heading 'Basic Science', the third link titled 'The HIV-AIDS Connection'. Breathing a sigh of relief you click on the link. As you click the link s strange thing happens. A window pops up on the screen with the text: "You are now leaving the CDC-NCHSTP Divisions of HIV/AIDS Prevention (DHAP) website. The CDC does not assume responsibility for information obtained beyond this point. To return to the DHAP website, use your browsers 'Back' button. Thank you." You have a choice of clicking 'OK' or 'Cancel'. You click 'OK' and this takes you to the 'Newsroom' of the US National Institutes of Health - National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. The article, titled 'The HIV-AIDS Connection' is from the newsroom. Your patient laughs and tells you that they are not surprised. "After all," they say, "HIV was announced at a press conference." As your patient leaves you promise to check out some of the AIDS dissident sites. back to index |
